Abe's First Week

Top 10 Memories of Abe's First week

1) Packer game with Auntie, Uncle, and Cousin. Abe took turns being held and Livvy played on the floor. The Packers lost but Abe and I didn't mind :)

2) getting one on one time with him- I absolutely adore spending the morning nursing Abe and talking to him about silly things, Zach loves plopping him on his chest and sniffing his little head.
3) coming up with the nickname Burrito Boy when Abe is in his swaddle. He's so cute and peaceful and Zach and I crack up everytime we say it. Our little Burrito Boy and his big brother Bugaboo Boxer Boy-2 peas in a pod!

4) Zach realizing that babies have a mind (and intestine) of their own-twice Wednesday we got Abe all dressed and cleaned off and ready to go and Bam! Poopy diaper. Literally seconds after we changed him. We were late to his first appt because of it!
5) our first parenting bonding moments: Laying on our bed with a screaming baby just wondering what we got ourselves into, writing "father" and "mother" on Abe's forms at the dr, discussing timing of a trip home because OMG the baby wil have to eat!
6) Dinner from Famous Dave's with gramma and gramps Bryngelson and Auntie Jade. Abe showed off his silly faces!

7) our many wonderful visitors at the hospital who came from far and wide to see us!

8) watching Jett become a (slightly annoying) big brother!

9) the awesome compliments we have gotten- what a relief to have so many drs and nurses tell us what a beautiful strong boy we created as well as outsiders who tell us how great we look for being new parents. Feels great to have people tell me how awesome we are doing. :)
10) his first moment of life- feeling the last tug, hearing the operating dr say " it's definitely a boy," and hearing his first little cry as they lifted him over the sheet. Feeling both Zach and I melt into a puddle and being so wowed by how perfect Abe was, and just looking at eachother in awe. Those tears falling and both of us just overwhelmed with joy and anticipation. Wow.
