22 Weeks Pregnant

To say this pregnancy has been different than Abe's is an understatement.

Needless to say, I am behind on updating on our second little babe. Heck, I'm 22 weeks already. Time has went simultaneously extremely slow and pretty quick.
Awkward "should I smile?" bathroom selfie

I am about right on par with where I was at 22 weeks last time- same amount of weight gained, the baby has a very similar heart rate (low 130s) and I'm still getting around really well.

We were able to go in for an ultrasound at 21 weeks but it was a big disappointment and I need to go back in to see if we can see more of the baby. We didn't get to see a face/profile shot, which they need to qualify it as a Level II ultrasound. The baby was measuring right on track, though, and it smaller than Abe was at that point. He or she has a normal size head and belly compared to Abe's 90+% percentile. I know it's just me worrying, but I expected a big baby again. I guess we will see when he or she is born! I am just hoping everything is A-OK and that the baby is healthy.

I learned that I have anterior placenta which explains why I don't feel much of the baby moving (another worrying factor for me!) I had the same with Abe and I think it was around 26 weeks when I was feeling more. Here's hoping!

Abe plays with 2 very young babies at daycare and has declared that Hayden (a boy) is his sister, so Willie is convinced that we are having a girl. When we ask Abe, he changes his mind each time. I don't think he knows whats coming, poor guy. Luckily we have a super fun holiday season AND a family vacation to shower him with only child love.

Zach and I both think the baby is a boy but I don't have strong feelings like I did with Abe. I think I will be shocked either way in the delivery room!

Abe has been our little buddy lately, like always. That kid, he doesn't stop talking. Ever. He is very particular and we love that about him but gosh it causes some crazy tantrums. A run down of Abe's current favorites:

Show: Paw Patrol (We are finally getting over Daniel Tiger!)
Food: mac and cheese and hot dogs (Zach has officially banned most hot dogs from the house, though)
Movie: "Olaf moomie!" We went through a period of watching part of that movie every.day.
Song: 5 Little Speckled Frogs or Wheels on the Bus
Shirt: Tractor shirt or Chase shirt
Books: If you Give a Mouse a Cookie series, we've read most of them now
Pasttimes: walking on "balance beams," building towers, sleeping in Mommy's bed, dancing, eating fruit snacks, repeating the same stories to us everyday, yelling at Jett

We can't wait 18 more weeks to see him be a big brother!
