25.5 months of toddler

Toddlers are nuts. Abe is certainly no exception. One minute he is sweet and cuddly and wants to sing a song and the next he is screaming his head off about something as silly as a vitamin.

I've spent about equal amount of time lately wanting to scoop him up and give him tons of kisses and wanting to sell him to the circus. Sometimes it's hard to remember he is only 2 and doesn't understand all of his FEELINGS yet.

But darn if he isn't the cutest thing when he's happy. This weekend we spent our second annual day at a little farm that had goats to feed and a huge corn pit. Abe was crabby when he woke up so we had to keep bribing him to get into the car with the promise of feeding the goats. I almost gave up. But the sheer joy on his face as he rolled around the corn pit was enough for me to listen to a million more tantrums. I think he would have stayed all night.

Something happened tonight that I can't stop laughing about. It was a nice night so we walked to the park. There were a lot of other kids there, including a 3ish year old girl. Abe just stood by and smiled at her, almost creepily so. Then when she went to the small slide, he would follow her and go down as well, looking for praise from her. She was shy and trying to get away so she went to the big slide. He beat her to the top and slid down quickly. He waited for her, talking to her as she slid down. As she approached the bottom, he did this super goofy jump dance move and was cheering for her. I wish we had it on video. He was just a-jumping around, trying to show off. Needless to say, she ignored him, but he wears still happy as a clam to be playing "with" her!

We just love our little bedtime-stalling, sugar-loving, loud singing, fluffy headed Abe!
