This past week I was kind of a stay at home mom (SAHM). Daycare was closed, so we needed to stay home to hang out with Abe the babe. Although it was sometimes quite stressful, it was such a blast and a fun week just spending a lot of time with our little guy.
Monday was a gorgeous day so we headed to a park on the lake and goofed around. Then we went shopping at Target and had a good nap. :)
Tuesday I got a crazy idea at 9:30 to head to Como Zoo that opened at 10. We made it at 9:58, and had so much fun. Some of the animals were still inside but Abe was being just the cutest little thing walking around. He said "Bye Buffalo!" and told me about "Daddy gaffe (giraffe)" We watched the monkeys for awhile because one of the chimps had a tiny baby chimp that she carried around.
Wednesday we spent more time at the local park, played with stickers, smelled lilacs, and ended the day with an amazing dinner of Venezuelan arepas. Abe and I did a girls dinner club and although Abe got a little nuts with how many kisses he wanted to give me and how aggressive he got passing around the "knucks", the pork arepa I had and the guac Abe had was so so good we know we will be back.
Thursday we had a morning date at Panera and played some more. Abe has really started to impress me with his talking and we have so much fun telling stories, reading books, and building towers. Abe has an alphabet book we have so much fun reciting. Our favorite is "Y is for YACHT!"
Because we were heading out of town, my mom watched Abe most of the day Friday. That lucky kid got to eat sushi, play with kitties, and have "ice cheam."
What a fun week with my boy, I'll miss him so much this next week!!
