Pre-Christmas Christmas

This is the busiest time of the year, at home and at work. We get so excited for the holiday season and then by the end we feel like we are just trying to survive!

I'm currently trapped under a 33 lb little boy who got sick in the middle of the night and had to miss his Christmas party at daycare that he was so excited for. Poor munchkin was whining out "Mommy" but I ignored it because he's been staying in his crib all night lately. Then I heard the pitiful screams and the smell hit me before I even got in his room. My poor sweet kiddo. He was being hilarious though, walking around with me telling me he puked but he isn't going to do it again and insisting it was not night night time, but time to play with Jett. He helped me put beloved Boo in the washer and we watched Olaf movie from 2:15 am until Abe informed me it was time to lie down at 3:30.
My little snuggle bug sicky boy

This kid has made this December one to remember and enjoy though. He has enjoyed so many old traditions and new.

First, he helped us put up our new tree. He loved supervising and putting all the ornaments on one branch.

He picked his own outfit.

The next weekend he had fun decorating cookies with his pals Sawyer, Reeve, and Charli. Sawyer and Abe snuck more frosting than they should have but it was all for fun.

He looks like his mommy here. ;)

We also have been doing lots of touring of holiday lights, at Abe's insistence. He is obsessed with Trismas lights and Big Santa's. We have toured a few different neighborhoods on the weekends and every day we drive by all the Big Santa's in Little Canada to see if they are standing up, fallen down, or smushed down. It is hilarious how serious Abe gets about this.

Zach and I headed to a Friends Holiday dinner this year without Abe and hopefully we can keep that tradition as well. I loved having a chance to wear a dress and some pretty lipstick and go downtown even if we were home by 8. Abe made Christmas art with aunt Jade and had a blast.

We had a great time meeting Santa at an outdoor Christmas market and cider brewery. We were playing games with Abe OUTSIDE on December 20. Crazy. Abe refused to approach Santa without me agreeing to hold him so we got a family picture, Boo included. As we were walking away, Abe quickly said "Tiger toys" because we had coached him that Santa would ask what he wanted. He's so cute. And, as Santa, I couldn't not get him a Tiger toy, so off to Target I was on December 21. It's the only thing he says he wants!!

Such a nice Santa!! It's really too bad you can't see Abe's Christmas sweater, the little bugger

We can't wait to see how Abe enjoys putting out cookies for Santa and seeing his gifts from everyone this year. He has definitely been on the nice list!!
