Abe at (almost) 17 months

Christmas post still coming. ;)

Abe is a total nut. A wild child, 100% boy, a sometimes sweetheart, and a little sponge- picking up news things every day.

What's new with Abe?
1. He hates pants. Specifically jeans. He gets so angry when we have to put them on and kicks and screams until it's over. We actually haven't gotten jeans on his legs for the last 2 weeks.

2. He has lots of new kinda-words. We know what he's saying, but it's probably not understandable to outsiders. He says all his friends names at daycare (Gagey, Nicky, Ah-lyn, Hay-ey), likes to name all of the animals on a blanket he has (duck, turtle, lamb), and is getting so good at saying Mama!

3. He is still obsessed with his snack cup ("bowl?"). His favorites are goldfish, peanut butter cheerios, fruit snacks, grapes, Cuties, pretzels, and baby Cheetos. I need to stop buying the child baby Cheetos.

4. He loves Daniel Tiger so much. His favorite part of every day is sitting in his chair with Boo and his bowl and watching that show. I have seen every episode and am so sick of it, but when I try to put on "Melmo" Abe freaks out. He loves looking at pictures of "Melmo" and "Tikky" (Cookie Monster), but won't watch Sesame Street.

5. He loves to give kisses to Zach, Jett, and I. He's a good little kisser!

6. When we say dinner, he runs to the dog food cabinet and gets out a scoop of food for Jett. He will be the sole reason Jett gains 15 lbs this year. Every day I have to fish a piece of kibble out Abe's mouth, he finds this hilarious.

7. Balls. Ping pong balls, basketballs, footballs, red balls, shaker balls, all of them. Abe is obsessed. We went to the Children's Museum early Sunday morning and Abe carried around a tennis ball and a red foam ball the entire time. They were supposed to stay in another exhibit but Abe was just too attached, so I let him carry them around everywhere. :)

8. Abe doesn't like (other than pants): vegetables, getting his diaper changed in the morning, when I try to sing to calm him down, when we say no, greek yogurt, Jett banging into him, sleeping in, or wordy books.

Next month we are halfway to 2!
