I no longer feel right calling him Baby Abraham since he is so mobile, so expressive, and so big! I still always say "Hi baby!" when I pick him up from daycare or in the morning though.
What to say about Abraham this month?
He is officially a crawler, and a crazy one at that. He really wasn't showing interest in crawling and was content sitting and rolling around. Then on May 8, the day before Zach and I left for our anniversary trip, Abe was whining for us to pick him up. Zach told him to do it himself, and before Abe knew what he was doing, he crawled 4 paces to Zach. And hasn't looked back! He is the ultimate speed crawler.
He is almost 23 pounds (22 pounds, 12 oz to be exact), and is 29 inches tall.
He spent lots of time with his Grammy Karen and Auntie Jade while Zach and I were in Denver and lots of time with Gamma and Gumpa Detko while I was in Nashville. He is so lucky to have so many people who like to spend time with him!
He went to the beach for the first time. He was enjoying just taking in all the sights. He sat so content on his blanket and watched the kids splash around. The water was a bit cold but he seemed to enjoy putting his feet in the lake.

Abe is usually a very good eater and enjoys all kinds of things-yogurt with applesauce, chicken, raspberries, quesadillas, and broccoli were favorites this month.
He is also officially in all 18 month clothes now, and it's so fun to put him in new duds!
There is very little to complain about when it comes to this kid. He is such a joy and so smart. If only he would learn that sleeping is good! He hates to go to bed at night. Now that the sun is bright in the morning, he also hates sleeping past 5. What a stinker!
