38 weeks, 3 days

BUT WHO'S COUNTING?

We are hoping we have less than 10 days left, but we'll let the little guy decide on his birthday, even if we have to wait all the way until September. I've been feeling ok, even good, most days so I can't complain at all.

We spend most of our evenings now laying on the couch talking about the baby and what we would be doing if he was here. We have lots of cleaning/organization we could do and we've stayed on top of the general stuff, but I don't have any nesting instincts that are kicking into overdrive that make me want to clean out our closets or anything. Not yet, anyways. :) Plus Zach has been experiencing more pregnancy symptoms than me (He's going to love that I post this!) with insomnia, heartburn, indigestion, and exhaustion. He just wants my sympathy, maybe.

Coworkers have told me I've dropped but I think they are delusional because I've never been very high to begin with, although misters' legs and feet are way up high all the time.

Sleeping is ok-I'm tired enough at the end of every day that I fall right asleep and can go back to bed after going to the bathroom (which is now twice a night). My hips and back hurt a lot right away but with a little movement in the morning while walking Jett, they are ok too.

Next appointment is Friday the 16th. I've luckily slowed down my weight gain a bit and don't anticipate gaining too much more. We'll check on his heart rate and on my blood pressure and it should be a quick appointment! If we make it to the following week, we may get an ultrasound to check on his supposedly massive size.

We are over the moon excited to see what our son looks like and get to know his personality. I look at his nursery and just can't wait to sit in there and rock him and never have to give him back. (ask me how I feel about giving him away when he's 2 weeks old and screams all day, haha). We are excited to show him off and have lots of time as a family of four (oh, Jett!). We have lots of stuff planned for little guy! We can't wait to see him in his outfits and to see his head of hair and to breathe in his smell while we snuggle on the couch. He'll be so loved.
