We are in the home stretch! Well, kind of... we still have 12-14 weeks to go most likely, but that this will be the period where baby and I grow the most. We are absolutely ecstatic. Things are really coming together at our house, and we have had so many fun conversations about what's going to happen when our baby is here.
Baby is 2 pounds plus and most likely 14-16 inches long. At this point, baby's lungs have matured enough that he would breathe on his own outside the womb if something were to happen. He also is developing sleep patterns and is most likely dreaming in there! I will still need to put some pictures up of our last ultrasound but he is doing very well and will just need one more checkup on his kidneys before birth.
Now for the fun part: Pictures from our Memorial day weekend! Zach was in Party's wedding and we had so much fun celebrating at the rehearsal and wedding with our friends. The wedding was beautiful and perfect for the couple. Zach looked dashing in his suit.

On Monday, I went to Dodge Center to see my sister Emily who is home from NYC. We went to my aunt Jils for what was supposed to be a pool party (raining and 55 degrees, how fun!). We enjoyed some snacks and I was surprised by some wonderful gifts- a quilt in our nursery colors, a play mat, some sleepers and a cute crab outfit, as well as some nursing and diapering essentials. It was so nice.

Also, I failed my gestational diabetes test the first go-round. I have a 3 hour test on Thursday and would greatly appreciate any kind thoughts sent my way as I will NOT be able to handle finger pricking myself 4 times a day OR giving up my sweets! I was devastated to hear I had failed, ugh!
