Abraham,
Your dad and I love you very very much. You are literally the light of our lives. We would do anything to protect you, we love waking up to your smiles, and we can't wait to get home from work to pick you up and snuggle you. However, we may never be featured in a magazine as Parents of the Year. We let you eat guacamole and waffles as your first foods! We send you to daycare with spit up on your shirt. We forget to put your mittens on sometimes when we put you in the car. We let Jett lick you, sometimes right on your mouth (which you love!).
But we know you don't care about that stuff. All you know is that when you are lonely, mommy comes to hold you. When you are curious, daddy shows you something new. You know that Skidamarink is your mommy's favorite song in the morning and that dad will make you laugh when he does his jazz impression. You smile when we let you sit naked on the floor and you giggle when we tell you to shake your booty.
You admire everything we do! We may not do everything (or anything) perfectly, but you think we are the greatest, and that's pretty cool.
We just want you to know that we try our best to be good parents to you. We might mess up sometimes, and we might not ever be Parents of the Year to anybody on the outside. But that's ok, because we know we are Parents of the Year to you. (that being said, I really need to start your baby book!!)
